For genealogists

The start of a surname is enough

The public search needs the surname written in full, exactly as it is stored. Here you type the beginning. “Kowal”, plus a town, a cemetery or a province, finds Kowalski. “Warsz” finds Warszawa, and “Północny” finds a cemetery that starts that way. You do not have to know the first name. If you add one, the beginning is enough. Swap the two names and we still find the person.

  • Add a town, a cemetery or a province. A surname on its own is not enough.
  • You search from the start, not from the middle. “Kowal” works, “owal” does not.
  • Years of birth and death go in as a range, not as one date.
  • From a result you open the person, the grave and that surname in the cemetery.
